Printed Paper as Partial Front Paste-down and Spine Support

This book features recycled sheets of paper, likely from an early printed Roman breviary, used as both a partial front paste-down on the front cover as well as binding reinforcement. The poor condition of the binding and the loss of the outside spine cover reveal the hidden treasures inside.
