Lexis Terminal

Underwood Law Library Lexis Terminal (1982)

The Underwood Law Library entered the digital age in the early 1980s by subscribing to Westlaw and Lexis. At the time, the library had only one Lexis and one Westlaw terminal, both of which were in locked rooms. Access initially required the presence of a librarian, and Lexis and Westlaw’s content was very limited. The accompanying photograph depicts an early Lexis terminal from approximately 1982.
