Underwood Law Library Dedication Procession American Flag Displayed at Underwood Law Library Dedication

The Underwood Law Library’s 1971 dedication was by far the most substantial event ever held at the Law School. The principal speaker was John Mitchell, Attorney General of the United States. A host of dignitaries participated, including most members of the Supreme Court of Texas and many supreme court justices from other states. Food, flowers, and decorations were elaborate. These photos capture the dedication’s formal faculty procession and an enormous flag displayed on the building.
